Responsibilities
1) Fundraising Execution
- Drive fundraising processes from initial investor engagement through meetings, follow-up, due diligence, negotiation, internal approval, and transaction closing.
- Translate Astra’s funding requirements and strategic priorities into clear fundraising workstreams and actionable execution plans.
- Maintain momentum across investor discussions and proactively follow up on outstanding information, decisions, and next steps.
- Coordinate fundraising timelines, responsibilities, deliverables, and transaction requirements across internal teams and external advisers.
2) Investor Engagement
- Coordinate and communicate with potential investors, primarily institutional and international investors.
- Present Astra’s vision, business model, strategic direction, investment activities, and progress in a clear, credible, and compelling manner.
- Lead or support investor meetings, presentations, conference calls, roadshows, and management discussions.
- Adapt the investment narrative and level of detail based on each investor’s background, mandate, and investment priorities.
- Respond to investor questions and ensure that information is communicated accurately,
consistently, and professionally.
3) Investor Assessment and Pipeline Management
- Develop an understanding of each investor’s investment mandate, cheque size, return
expectations, risk appetite, investment horizon, and decision-making process.
- Assess the strategic relevance, seriousness, and probability of execution of potential investors.
- Identify what each investor requires in order to progress from initial interest to active due diligence and investment.
- Build, prioritize, and manage a pipeline of potential investors and maintain clear records of engagement status, feedback, and next steps.
- Provide management with regular updates on fundraising progress, investor feedback, transaction risks, and key decisions required.
4) Fundraising Materials and Due Diligence
- Prepare and continuously improve investor-facing materials, including pitch decks, investment summaries, business plans, financial information, management presentations, and investor Q&A documents.
- Ensure that Astra’s investment narrative is supported by credible information, measurable progress, and a clear value-creation plan.
- Coordinate investor due-diligence requests with management, finance, legal counsel, business teams, and external advisers.
- Support the preparation and management of the investor data room and ensure that information requests are addressed accurately and on time.
- Handle confidential and market-sensitive information with appropriate care and ensure compliance with applicable disclosure and regulatory requirements.
Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting,
Investment, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in banking, finance, investment, or capital markets.
- Understanding of financial statements, valuation, investment analysis, fundraising processes, and transaction execution.
- Ability to quickly understand a complex and evolving business model and communicate it in a clear and persuasive manner.
- Excellent written and spoken English, with the confidence to present and conduct discussions with international investors.
- Strong stakeholder-management, coordination, presentation, and project-management skills.
